Leicester-based ExcellCare, a joint venture company set up by John Laing and Bank of Scotland Corporate in 2002 to build new community health and social care facilities across the country under the Government’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative, has undergone a re-brand.
The company has changed its name to Primary Plus, following the diversification of its business. It now offers an extended range of services to mark it out as one of the market leaders in the bricks and mortar delivery of health and community regeneration throughout the infrastructure environment.
Primary Plus continues to successfully work within its 25 year relationship with six LIFT company partners across the Midlands and in the North West to plan, construct and operate their multi-million pound purpose-built facilities. Having invested in excess of £270m in public facilities over the last 3 years patients and users are now enjoying improved health care and facilities in over 40 such centres. The company now also specialises in general health and social care property development, third party developments for GPs and local authorities in conjunction with capital works accommodation projects for the local NHS. It also offers retail property management, specialist and added value services for tenants and the local community.
John Cassidy, chief executive of Primary Plus says: “Primary Plus now offers a range of specialised public sector property management services that go above and beyond LIFT. This re-brand heralds a new era for the business. We pride ourselves on being the best in the market at delivering the health and community infrastructure of the future. These facilities deliver real tangible regeneration benefits for local people and directly improve the quality of life.”
